About the position

Shell is seeking an Asset Digital Core Projects & Wells (P&W) Process Expert – Wells (internally known as P&W Process Analyst) to join its team in Houston. Asset Digital Core (ADC) is a transformation programme with SAP’s latest ERP, S/4 HANA, as its foundation. This latest SAP technology provides redesigned, market standard processes and data models, intended to replace legacy SAP systems in Shell’s Operated Assets. ADC plays a key role in the achievement of Powering Progress Strategy in Integrated Gas and Upstream (IG/UP). ADC will enable IG/UP to lead with insight, sharpen performance and support diverse value chains. As an ADC P&W Process Expert – Wells, you will support the definition and maintenance of business requirements that shape the global ADC template for Wells. In this role, you will work closely with Wells Engineers and Wells Supply Chain teams to ensure that the global S/4HANA design remains aligned with evolving business needs for Wells design and supply chain processes. In addition, this role focuses on supporting the development of global processes, data, and system design for Wells in the S/4HANA environment, contributing to the standardization and integration of Wells processes across the end‑to‑end Wells lifecycle. Your background should include: Knowledge of End to End (E2E) Project & Wells Lifecycle Knowledge of Wells Design/Demand Knowledge of Wells supply chain and operational handoffs This role works under the guidance of senior team members, gaining valuable exposure to global template design and deployment. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Wells operations and the Wells supply chain, as well as a strong interest in business process transformation, ERP deployments, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Global Wells Process & System Design Assist in developing and maintaining global process, data, and system design for Wells design and supply chain in S/4HANA and connected applications
  • Apply Knowledge of Process Integration to ensure end‑to‑end alignment across Wells, Contracts & Procurement (CP), Manage Supply Chain (MSC), Finance, and execution processes
  • Use Knowledge of ERP (P16 & S/4 Systems & Business/Change Impact) to support design decisions and identify critical business impacts
  • Business Requirement Gathering Help capture and refine business requirements with Wells teams
  • Leverage Knowledge Transfer & Training skills to clearly communicate process concepts and ensure business understanding
  • Template & Design Support Contribute to maintaining the ADC Global Template and S/4HANA design for Wells Support data alignment
  • Stakeholder Engagement Support engagement with Wells business stakeholders including Process Experts/SMEs and business users to help identify value opportunities
  • Apply Knowledge of Value Realization to support discussions on benefits, efficiency, and performance improvement
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with Product Owners, Process Experts, IT Product Managers, and Functional Analysts to deliver end-to-end Wells process and system designs
  • Use Knowledge of Process Integration to ensure seamless collaboration across teams
  • Wells Supply Chain Integration Assist collaboration with CP, MSC, and other functional pillars to support Wells supply chain process integration
  • Apply Knowledge of E2E Project & Wells Lifecycle to ensure accurate upstream/downstream handoffs
  • Deployment Support Help enable global functional deployment teams and support the rollout of Wells processes across assets
  • Use Knowledge Transfer & Training to support training, onboarding, and capability uplift for end users
  • Apply Knowledge of ERP (P16 & S/4) to support testing, cutover activities, and hypercare
  • Continuous Improvement Assist the Global Process Owner in maintaining design integrity and supporting CI initiatives
  • Use Knowledge of Lessons Learned to Drive Process Efficiency to feed experience back into the global template

Requirements

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of Wells supply chain or similar end ‑ to ‑ end business operations
  • Knowledge of E2E Project & Wells Lifecycle supporting process and system mapping
  • Proficient in SAP modules relevant to Wells and supply chain, such as Project Systems, Material Management, and/or related modules, supported by ERP knowledge
  • Knowledge of Wells operations and supply chain tools/platforms
  • Knowledge of Process Integration and its role in global template standardization
  • Knowledge of Value Realization to understand how process changes translate into business improvement
  • Knowledge of S/4 HANA capabilities
  • Ability or willingness to learn requirement gathering, process mapping, and template governance
  • Strong learner mindset
  • Willingness to engage and communicate with stakeholders at different levels

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this position is \$101,000 - \$150,000 per year.
  • Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
  • For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs.
  • Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan.
  • Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
  • Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance.
  • Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
